Starting a new project is always exciting. You pet the yarn, admire the tiny skeins of yarn. You print out the pattern and select the appropriate hook. You lay everything out for a beauty shot, lift the camera to the eye... and in that instance one tiny, exquisitely perfect skein disappears!
The boy's a thief!
"Paploo!" "Merff!" (gratuitous translation: a yarn stuffed mouth attempting to say, "What!") No sense of shame that boy. But he has a point. The little skeins of Bonbons are the perfect fuzzy mouthful for any miniature dachshund on the lookout for fun.
When we were down below, I couldn't resist purchasing several packages of Bonbons. Each bag is filled with coordinated colour colours of perfect miniature skeins. They are just so cute in their wee Lion Brand labels. Okay, I know, I don't get out very often! (grin) As is my usual "plan" of action I scooped up an arm load of Bonbons and headed to the till. No plan, no pattern, no idea of what to do with this treasure load of colour. What can I say, I have a gift!

Back home it is the internet and Lion Brand to the rescue. Now that I am writing this post I discover my scarf pattern, the Curly Fringed Scarf, doesn't pop up in the search for patterns using Bonbons. Surprise! It makes me wonder what else is missing from the Bonbons search, hmmmm? And she's off! Gone missing on a world wide search for all patterns using this pretty yarn.
So here I am sitting by the pond, happily combining crochet with puppy training, "Papoo!" Oh, darn, I blinked – Paploo, get back here!
