:: and Dangerous bring on the Baby Bootees!

super bulky yarn and pointy broom sticks
Remember the picture of the microscopic Baby Bootees I posted previously? The ones making a dime look like a huge metal medallion used to slow a charging moose? The ones requiring imaginary needles and spider silk?
I concluded I do not have the eye sight for nor am dexterous enough to even consider knitting with needles I would need 4x magnifiers to just to find. So returning to sanity, I thought I would tackle Slipper Socks to keep my feet warm while waiting for spring.

The pattern is a free pattern generously shared by Liat Gat of KNIT Freedom with Liat. I am using White Buffalo yarn from the thrift store and size 9mm circular needles. This is my first attempt at Magic Loop knitting and toe up socks. It has been loads of fun sticking the toes on my toes and dancing to the Rhythm of the Blues.

toes in socks like keys in locks, they turn, they turn
To see how the knit toes should look, check the photographs on Knit Freedom: Super-Bulky-Weight Magic Loop Sock Pattern - Toe-Up or Top-Down. I'm thinking it would take longer to say, Super-Bulky-Weight Magic Loop Sock Pattern - Toe-Up or Top-Down, three times than it would to knit the slipper socks themselves!
As always,
Zuzia
...dreaming of a land where spring isn't a myth told to gullible children, where it would be too warm for super bulky wool socks.
